Present day North Ridgeville was initially known as Ridgeville Township.  This township was originally occupied by settlers from Waterbury, Connecticut in May of 1810.  The area was incorporated in 1958 and renamed North RIdgeville.  In August 1960, North Ridgeville became a City.
North Ridgeville is a warm, neighborly and growing City that is business and visitor friendly.  North Ridgeville offers a number of recreational facilities that include basketball fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas.  Visit our South Central Park and Splash Pad, Shady Drive Baseball Complex, Sandy Ridge Reservation, just to name a few.
