3 Ways to Put a “Spin” on Your Holiday Traditions

There are certain holiday traditions that we just can’t do away with. Our yearly practices usually involve family and friends, and are definitely the core of our holiday season. But we are starting to get bored! You may find yourself ready to change things up when your kids squeal, “but we do this every Christmas”, and you’re back to the same old same old. We are in luck, because Ohio Dance Theatre has come to the rescue this year.

Ohio Dance Theatre has partnered with Stocker Arts Center to bring back one of our holiday favorites, the professional production of The Nutcracker, but they really  piqued our interest this year by putting a spin on things…

The Nutcraker - A Spin on Things

…literally and figuratively.

Here are 3 unique ways you can put a spin on the holiday tradition, The Nutcracker:

3. Make it a Ladies Night

Ladies Night

Take your usual theatre visit up a notch with a special Ladies Night package. You’ll enjoy the classic ballet of The Nutcracker while indulging with wine and cheese. If any of your girlfriends are really into dance, this would make a great gift as you’ll also meet the choreographer!

2. Surprise your kids with the benefits of Family Night

Family Night extras are completely free. Your family can discuss your favorite scenes after the show with hot cocoa and cookies! You and your kids will also have the opportunity to meet dancers from the performance – who knows, maybe that will be them one day!

1. Opt for Dinner and a Show

Chicken Paprikash

Ohio Dance Theatre and the Stocker Arts Center have partnered with Bistro 83 to bring you the ultimate in entertainment-dinner and a show. For one price you’ll experience the grandeur of the ballet along with an elegant dinner including a glass of wine or beer, soup or salad, choice between 4 entrees, and  a dessert at the premier bistro and wine bar on the westside of Cleveland.

Now’s the time to make your plans to spice things up, unwind, and put a spin on your holiday tradition! The Nutcracker will be at The Stocker Arts Center in Elyria, Ohio December 18th-20th.
