New Year’s Eve 2015: A Party For Your Personality

If there’s one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that we have a lot to celebrate. For starters, it’s the holiday season – we’re spending time with family, taking time off of work, and enjoying the fruits of the season. We should also celebrate the beautiful winter that North Central Ohio is having. Most importantly, we should all be celebrating how awesome 2015 was, and the fresh start that 2016 will bring! No matter your interests (food, adventure, romance, staying at home), here’s how you should be celebrating the flipping of the calendar in North Central Ohio.

NYE for the: Foodie
Matus Winery Steak Fry
If you’re a “foodie” (and a “drinkie”) then you’ll love the party that Giuseppe’s Wine Cellar has planned. You’ll experience wine tasting with paired appetizers, beer tasting with paired appetizers, a dessert buffet featuring the nationally-recognized local bakery – Kiedrowski’s Simply Delicious Bakery, and more!

If you prefer to choose your own food and drink pairing, then the specials at the bash that Fort’s Tavern is throwing may be more for you. Their mouthwatering food specials include fresh burrata cheese ball with tomato, cucumber and basil cream, stuffed Portobello, bacon wrapped filet mignon, creamy chicken spinach & mushroom soup, sweet & spicy bourbon salmon, blackened ribeye, and lobster ravioli.

Mouth watering yet?

NYE for the: Adventurer
Murder Mystery Company Masquerade
For those partiers that need a little more action in their evening, you’ll want to reserve your seats at the Murder at the Masquerade at D & D Smith Winery. This costume party calls for masks and more. You’ll dress the part and become part of the show during this interactive murder mystery dinner.

Prefer to watch the action? Get festive at  Matus Winery while enjoying live entertainment from the Travelin Man Band. There is no charge to enter this New Year’s Eve blowout.

NYE for the: Couples
couple dancing
For a more formal reception with your significant other, there are several galas across North Central Ohio that offer dinner, dancing, and accommodations as a package.

Oberlin Inn’s New Year’s Eve Gala is a multi-day affair. After kicking things off with a four-course dinner and open bar, you’ll move onto a midnight champagne toast, retreat to your quarters at your leisure, and end with a sumptuous brunch!

The Ramada Inn Elyria offers a similar extravaganza with extended hours! Enjoy early check-in and late check-out for this semi-formal event featuring live entertainment.

NYE for the: Stay at Home Celebrator
The comfort of our own homes can sometimes be the best setting for celebrating. Make your shindig awesome for you and your guests by taking advantage of local resources such as buying your wine from local wineries. The Klingshirn Winery retail room in Avon Lake is open daily from 10am-6pm to get everything you need to keep your thirst quenched while counting down. Supplement your beverage selection with catering from a local restaurant. Sterk’s of Oberlin is offering New Year’s Eve party specials.

If you didn’t have plenty to celebrate before, you do now with all of these party options!

Many of these New Year’s Eve events require reservations, so be sure to view our calendar of events for complete details.
