Lakeview Park, part of the Lorain County Metro Parks, is a lakeside recreation area of 20 acres. In addition to volleyball, lawn bowling, and swimming in Lake Erie, visitors often remark on the Historical Rose Garden and the view of the Lorain lighthouse. Located in the park is the Rose Cafe, a breakfast/lunch restaurant, a bathhouse, a beach playground, two amphitheatres, and several gazebos and picnic shelters. Lakeview Park hosts numerous events throughout the warmer months, including triathlons, volleyball tournaments, lawn bowling leagues, beach parties, and summer concerts.
