The City of Sheffield Lake gave boaters a much needed public access to Lake Erie by renovating the lake-front land next to the public library and across the street from the shopping center. The free, 2 lane boat launch, located on E. Lake Road (U.S. Rte. 6), can accommodate up to 30′ boats. A sandy landing place is perfect for jet skies and small boats. There is ample parking with 56 extended length spots for trailers and 6 car spots, with overflow parking on the other side of Route 6. With tables and chairs close by, families can relax, view wildlife, and enjoy a Lake Erie sunset. Pet friendly park. Handicap accessible paved boardwalk. Sandy beach with swimming at one’s own risk, no lifeguard on duty. The park is along the Back Roads and Beaches Bike route.
