Giuseppe’s Wine Cellar opened in early March of 2013. We are located in beautiful historic downtown Amherst. This beautiful city is located in the northeastern part of Ohio. Renovations to the building took place in the beginning of 2011, making the old Amherst Hardware Store became a vibrant restaurant and banquet hall. After a few seconds of extremely deep thought, we decided to open up what is currently Giuseppe’s Wine Cellar (This was because we wanted to continue to have something for Giuseppe to do). In the constructions process, we discovered a corridor located in the front area of the store that currently allows our patrons to access the Private Cellar Area. Giuseppe’s Private Locker Area was first opened in September of 2013, then doubled in size in February of 2014. We currently have 84 Private Locker Members and are thinking of expanding again by October of 2014. We specialize in all types of Wine, while also adding an assortment of Craft Beer and Premium Cigars. Monthly tastings including both beer and wine are offered at our location. We have numerous wine and beer makers, distributors and representatives participating in our extremely casual tasting atmosphere. Giuseppe’s is proud to represent wineries from California, Australia, Italy, and neighboring Sandusky, Ohio (Thanks Claudio)and many more. The store also offers outstanding handmade gift ideas, ranging from customized baskets to hand painted wine glasses and more.
Giuseppe’s Wine Cellar offers a monthly Wine, Beer and Cigar Club for our patrons who are interested in trying a variety of different types of products. Our Club Membership is currently at 80 people and continues to grow. Details are provide in the Membership Area of our website, or feel free to contact us directly to have any questions answered. Giuseppe’s qualified staff has over 30 years’ experience in the beverage industry. We are also committed to customer service with an old-school approach to our patrons.
