John & Shelly Sterk purchased the property in Oberlin, Ohio in 2015 to house the existing catering business and to expand with a restaurant and tavern/bar. Sterk’s Catering, Inc., our off-premises catering business, relocated from Vermilion to our new location in the beginning of 2015. The restaurant/tavern opened in the spring of 2015 where we feature a menu of fresh, locally sourced foods. Our bar features a variety of some of Ohio’s best craft beers on tap, imported and domestic bottled beers, local wines and fine spirits.

In 2017, in efforts to re-brand our restaurant, we changed the name from Sterk’s of Oberlin to Brickyard Bar & Grill. As part of this re-branding, we are planning a remodel to expand our bar in early 2018. The new bar will be reconstructed in the current banquet room and will consist of a horsehoe bar with approximately 18 seats, doubling our bar! There will be an addition approximately 60 seats with high tops and standard tables. Our bar would no be complete without an outdoor area! The north wall will contain an outdoor bar with a large patio. Our main dining room will be converted to a daily causal dining room and will continue to accept large resevations (up to 20 guests). Our current tavern and bar will be converted to a private banquet room. Reservations of over 20 guests will be placed in the private banquet room for a catered dinner.
