Still haven’t made plans for the long Valentine’s weekend? No worries…here is a preview of some of the fun to be had, whether you have a date with a friend, significant other or your family. There’s a little something for everyone!

Feb 13 & 14 Studio Theatre Cabaret: I Got Rhythm, Stocker Arts Center, Elyria, 8pm. Acclaimed Cleveland based singer and entertainer Helen Welch and her swingin’ band. Never straying too far from what she does best Helen is nonetheless an exciting improviser and vocalist who finds a way to make songs her own. Songs include “It Don’t Mean a Thing if It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “Mambo Italiano,” “I’ve Got the World on a String,” “At Last,” “Pick Yourself Up,” “That’s All” and much more! Feb 14 Valetine’s Snowshoeing Hike, Vermilion River Reservation Carriage Barn, 2–3pm. Take a Valentine’s Day stroll on snowshoes. Snowshoes will be provided. 4 inches of snow required; an optional hike will be provided if no snow.  |

Feb 14 Annual Snowflake Stroll, Jamie’s Flea Market, Amherst, 8am–3pm. Visit vendor booths to get stamps and return for a chance to win prizes. Winners drawn at 3pm. 986.4402 |

Feb 15 Faculty Recital: Rameau Cantatas, Kulas Recital Hall, Oberlin, 3–5pm. Baritone Timothy LeFebvre, violinist Marilyn McDonald, harpsichordist Webb Wiggins, and gambist Catharina Meints share the stage in a performance of two cantatas by Jean-Philippe Rameau. 775.8200 |

Feb 16 Cabin Fever Fun Day, Sandy Ridge Reservation, North Ridgeville, 12–4pm. A celebration of winter at Sandy Ridge Reservation. Ongoing activities include: self-guided scavenger hunt, snow games, campfire with s’mores, and activities inside the Johnson Wetland Center. Paula Harding from the Greater Cleveland Siberian Husky Club will have sled dogs on display and will hold demonstrations at 1 and 3 pm.
